الملخص

The study aimed to stand on the Effectiveness of the Vocational
Counseling in promoting the level of the ability of Job performance of the chiefs of
Scientific & Educational Sectors، University of Gezira. The researchers used the
Correlative descriptive method. The sample consisted of (64) staff members. To
collect data، the researchers used vocational counseling questionnaire، and job
performance scale. The study came to: The degree of the effectiveness of
vocational counseling degree was. High ،the level of job performance was middle.
There is appositive correlation between vocational counseling and the level of job
performance. There are no statistical significant differences in vocational
counseling related to {gender: male، female- experience: 5 years and less، 6 – 10،11 – 15، 16 and more، years – job degree: lecturer، assistant professor، associate
professor، professor}. But there are statistical significant differences in sector
variable، in favor of Medical Sector. There are no statistical significant differences
in the level of job performance related to {gender: male، female- experience: 5
years and less، 6 – 10، 11 – 15، 16 and more، years – the sector: medical،
educational} .But there are statistical significant differences in job degree variable،
in favor of Professor. The study concluded with some recommendations and
suggestions to further studies such paying attention to the issue of professional
guidance and focusing on courses، workshops and training courses that work on
developing the leadership qualities of faculty members
