الملخص
The study aimed to assess the effectiveness of the student performance
evaluation form in mini-teaching and measure teaching skills among students. This
was done by surveying the opinions of faculty members at the Faculty of Education, Al-Batana University, Sudan, during the academic year 2022. The
study followed a descriptive analytical approach based on field research. The total
study population consisted of 63 faculty members, and a simple random sampling
technique was used to select a sample of 41 professors, representing approximately
65% of the total study population. To achieve the study objectives, a questionnaire
was used as a tool, and statistical data analysis was conducted using the Statistical
Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The statistical methods used included
percentages, means, standard deviations, t-tests, and chi-square tests. The study's
most important findings were as follows: The student performance evaluation form
in mini-teaching and the measurement of teaching skills among students were rated
very highly, with an average score of 4.47. There were no statistically significant
differences in the evaluation scores of the student performance evaluation form in
mini-teaching and the measurement of teaching skills among students from the
perspective of faculty members. These findings were attributed to variables such as
gender, job position, and work experience. The study recommended several
recommendations, including the adoption of the criteria of this form for evaluating
student performance in mini-teaching and measuring teaching skills.
