الملخص

The study aimed to identify the role of educational aids in developing the teaching
performance of secondary school teachers in the New Halfa locality - Kassala State. It
also aimed to highlight the attitudes of secondary school teachers in New Halfa
towards the use of educational aids in teaching and to uncover the obstacles that limit
their use in secondary school instruction. The researcher employed the descriptive-
analytical method. The study population consisted of male and female secondary
school teachers in the New Halfa locality. The sample size was (50 ) male and female
teachers selected randomly. The researcher used a questionnaire for data collection,
and the data was analyzed using the SPSS program.The results showed the following:
Educational aids encourage teachers to present lessons effectively, save time and
effort, work on developing the teacher's instructional performance, and reinforce information for students .They reduce excessive verbalism and address individual
differences.Most sample members prefer using educational aids in teaching and have
the desire to use them.There are several obstacles facing the use of educational aids,
the most important being: frequent equipment breakdowns and the lack of regular
maintenance; lack of adequate facilities in classrooms; absence of material and moral
incentives for teachers; and lack of sufficient training for teachers
