الملخص

This study aimed to identify the economic and social role of incoming migration on the residents
of Al-Managil City, as well as to determine the size and levels of migration to the city. It also
sought to examine the integration of migrants within the Al-Managil community and the
theoretical contribution of migration and social change studies. The study employed the
historical, descriptive, statistical, and analytical approaches. Data collection tools included
interviews, observation, and field surveys. The study employed the historical, descriptive,

field surveys. The sample size consisted of 450 respondents. Data were analyzed using the
statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The Study reached several important findings,
most notably that incoming migration has played a clear role in the economic and social
development of the local population. The interaction between migrants and the residents of AlManagil contributed to changes in certain concepts, customs, and traditions among migrants.
Among the changes brought about by migration in the destination area were improvements in the economic and social conditions of migrants. The study also found that male migrants constituted
a higher percentage than female migrants in the study area. Furthermore, migrants experienced
changes in awareness and perceptions after moving toward education. The relationship between
migrants and their neighbors was found to be socially and economically interconnected. The
study recommends adopting a national strategy for resource development and for advancing rural
communities economically, socially, and environmentally. It also recommends that local
authorities pay greater attention to migrants by allocating residential lands for them and
addressing educational challenges through the establishment of more schools at different levels
of general education.
