الملخص

Narrative literature is one of the most important strategy in teaching the
English language, and linguistically as a relevant component in course of
teaching and learning a foreign language, The study aims explain some factors
that face using narrative literature as effective strategy in EFL classroom and
to draw attention of teaching English through narrative literature as an
effective way in EFL classroom, the study adopts the descriptive analytical
method, the sample of the study was fifty (50) EFL secondary teachers, the
data were analyzed by the (SPSS) program, as the result of the analysis it was
found that: Most EFL teachers focus on narrative literature for specific
learning aims such as finishing their courses or duties quickly more than
English language acquisition, EFL teachers can use narrative literature to
draw learner’s attention to cultural, conceptual, idiomatic and grammatical
features of English language. The study recommends that EFL Learners should
be encouraged to enrich their English language through extensive and
intensive study of narrative literature.
