Developing Critical Literacy through Novel for EFL Students at Sudanese Universities

الملخص

Study aims to find out the Problems that made EFL learners do not understand the
Novels. Investigates the effect of teaching novels in developing critical literacy.
The study adopt the decretive analytical method, the questionnaire was used to
collected data from (40) EFL teachers. There many important results of the study.
Literature enhancing EFL learners skills at university level. Novel developing EFL
learners Critical Literacy. Novel can be used as a source of learning English
language. The researcher recommends the following : Syllabus designers should
provide a wider space for teaching novel with emphasis to provide enough
activities. Students should be encouraged to enrich their critical literacy by reading
novels.
