دور مكتبات القطاع المصرفي في التنمية الاقتصادية بالسودان دراسة حالة : مكتبة بنك السودان المركزي – الخرطوم – السودان (2020م)

الملخص

The study aimed to introduce the concept of banking libraries and their role in bringing
about economic development, to identify the extent to which information sources are
used in banking institutions and its usefulness to develop the economy, on the reality of
the use of libraries in banks, especially the Central Bank of Sudan, and their role in
contributing to economic planning. The study used, the descriptive analytical approach
with its two parts (survey and case study) using tools (observation, interview,
questionnaire) and the study population consisted of employees of the Central Bank of
Sudan with a random sample of (60 individuals), the data were analyzed by the Statistical
Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) system .The study reached many results, the most
important of which were: the sources of information in the library of the Bank of Sudan
help in revealing the economic conditions and their developments through the research
and studies they contain, which are related to the Bank, the Ministry of Finance and the
Ministry of Trade. The information sources in the library help in developing economic
development plans in which the Bank participates. The library has a very effective role in
economic development events, as it provides modern and reliable information to
economic researchers and developers of development plans. The sources of economic
information contained in the Central Bank of Sudan’s library contribute to making
economic decisions for the bank and the state. The Bank of Sudan electronic library is
one of the libraries with a distinctive and attractive environment in its buildings and
furnishings and its devices and collections that were designed with the highest quality
standards for specialized libraries, which was reflected in the complete satisfaction of the
beneficiaries of them and the services they provide. Based on the results the study
recommended the following: all other banks should accelerate the establishment of
libraries in them in order to develop workers and raise their levels of knowledge, which is
reflected in the development of work in these banks and the development of their
economic indicators. The library by increasing the number of its employees, provided that they are scientifically qualified and specialized in the field of modern library and
information technologies, as well as in the economic fields, the necessity of making a
network link between the Bank of Sudan’s library and other banks to benefit from it to
the fullest extent in helping in planning economic projects and making decisions.
