الملخص

This study dealt with the religious and martial architecture in Ayobean Egypt in the period from (567 – 648 AH /1171 – 1250 AD). It aims to shed light on the building and design of mosques, schools, domes, and Khangawat and their role in spreading education and culture. It explains the development of building castles and cities that were caused to exist by the circumstances of war with the Crusaders for the sake of protection and defense. The study followed the historical method which is based on the two styles, the descriptive and the analytical. It depended, for scientific data collection, on a number of primary sources, secondary references, periodicals, and journals. Amongst the most important results were : the Ayobean inherited from the Fatimeyeen the art of covering tombs with domes and exchanged the triangular circles with curvy corners; the Ayobean architectural art is affected by the European art and that of because of the Muslim contact with them since the Crusade wars.
