الملخص

In This study aims at rooting the phenomenon of intonation as it is dealt with
Arabic syntax, and determining the roles played by intonation in the Arabic
sentence, and what does the syntax do in clarifying and determining the kind of
tones. The study followed the descriptive analytical Methodology by describing
and analyzing the subject through the following axes: the concept of intonation
and controversy over the study of intonation in Arabic by an ancient linguistics
and grammarians, and syntactic functions of intonation and the tonal function  of the grammar. The most important finding of the study: the ancient linguistics
and grammarians did not neglect the study of intonation and it’s relationship
to grammar, but they did not mean it for itself, and they singled out specific
topics for it, rather, it was dealt with in the folds of linguistic and grammatical
direct chapters, one of the most essential syntactic functions of intonation:
of sentences, determine the functions and Expression, identify the elements
meanings of sentences and structures and removing doubt, Moreover the
syntactic tuning and types of structures clarify the kinds of tone.
